We are seeking an experienced Automated Test Engineer specialized in mobile app testing for tablets and phones. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in DevOps practices to seamlessly integrate automated tests into our continuous integration pipeline. This is a full-time contract position. While there is some flexibility with regard to working hours, you must be available weekdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Eastern Time. This position is and always will be 100% remote.

What we'll do

  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for mobile applications targeting both tablets and phones.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and design test strategies.
  • Implement and maintain automated test frameworks tailored for mobile platforms.
  • Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of automated test suites.
  • Work closely with developers to identify and resolve software defects.
  • Integrate automated tests into the continuous integration (CI) pipeline for efficient and reliable testing.
  • Monitor and analyze test results to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in mobile app testing and DevOps methodologies.

Required

  • 5+ years of experience as an Automated Test Engineer
  • U.S. citizenship or legal permanent U.S. resident for 3+ years
  • All work must be done and materials must be kept inside the U.S. at all times
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Public Trust position
  • Proven experience in automated testing of mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms.
  • Strong understanding of mobile app development frameworks and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with performance testing and profiling of mobile applications.
  • Knowledge of mobile security testing methodologies and tools.
  • Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) or DevOps (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
